What If It IS True, that ...

  (What if it is true that) PRIDE is not all it is cracked up to be… What would you think if people started to have parades for human traffickers, murderers, drunks, adulterers, idolaters, sorcerers, and the like?? I imagine no matter your background or the choices that have led you to where you are today, most of the general population would recognize it to be a ridiculous idea to have pride in or celebrate morally corrupt behavior such as these things. Why then, would people have pride, much less have a parade, because of their choice to have sex with someone of the same gender? Just because society permits you to have a parade, doesn’t make it a good choice for anyone!!! It may occur to you to ask yourself some serious questions if you support “PRIDE” parades, and other such events and practices that have to do with personal choices, rather than who God created you to be.   So, what if it is true even though you may feel lonely, that you are not really alone?        You may live somewhere where there are lots of people, or few people, or you may live alone. It does not matter how many people we live with, one can still feel lonely, or even feel as if they are invisible. Perhaps we have all felt this way at some point in our lives!      Everyone wants to be seen, we all want to feel as though our existence matters. Sometimes in part, people choose their professions to help them feel less invisible. So, they are providing a service to the community as well as an intrinsic need within their being. On the other hand, sometimes people engage in risky behaviors to feel "seen".      People even may commit crimes in order to win the approval of others. In some twisted way, the approval of the "group" is so important to them that they are willing to make compromises in order for the momentary approval receive...

  You are lost? We are all lost at some point(s) in our lives. We all have the desire to belong to something greater than ourselves. We all want to feel loved . We all want to feel needed, appreciated, and valued . I would suggest that if you say these things are not true about you, then you likely don't know yourself very well and perhaps are in some sort of denial . On the other hand, I suspect that most if not all of us would feel somewhat teary-eyed when we ponder such things, either now, or at some time in our own past, because it hits home for us.
