You are lost?
You are lost?
We are all lost at some point(s) in our lives. We all have the desire to belong to something greater than ourselves. We all want to feel loved. We all want to feel needed, appreciated, and valued. I would suggest that if you say these things are not true about you, then you likely don't know yourself very well and perhaps are in some sort of denial. On the other hand, I suspect that most if not all of us would feel somewhat teary-eyed when we ponder such things, either now, or at some time in our own past, because it hits home for us.
How do you feel... is that true for you?
If you have ever been part of a group, club, gang, etc. you likely got involved, at least in part, to win the approval of someone (or more than one person). Perhaps you were lacking such approval at home. Perhaps you even lived in such a hostile environment that the people around you were so wrapped up in their own drama that you felt invisible. Maybe you even joined said group as a form of revenge or willful disobedience to someone you feel had wronged you in some way. I encourage you to think back about some of your own choices.
Please share your experience...
We all want to be seen. We want our existence on this planet to mean something. I would even be so bold as to say that most of us would like to make some positive contribution to this world. Some people want to be seen so badly that they are willing to compromise even the wisdom deep in their being in order to not feel invisible.
Is this part of your story? If so, are you stuck and looking for answers?
